New York ’13

GREATER NEW YORK CONFERENCE NEW YORK EVANGELISM STRATEGIC PLAN 

Victory Seventh-day Adventist Church is located in the northern area of the Bronx, one of the five boroughs of New York City in New York state.
 

In 2013 New York City was chosen as the first city of over 650 cities for the bold initiative (NY’13) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s plans to hold evangelistic meetings over the next several years in 650 cities around the world.
 

New York City is an urban center whose population reflects a microcosm of the world. The NY13 initiative by church leaders saught to follow the counsel of Ellen White in the Spirit of Prophecy where she declared that the work done in New York City should be a “symbol of the work the Lord desires to see done in the world.”

Representatives from all of the 13 divisions of the world church were involved in this effort in New York City and the knowledge gained from their participation will allow them to be able do a similar work in their fields.
